Joshua Sklarsky has a Masters in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a specialization in Environmental Policy and Urban Sustainability. His master’s thesis examined the challenges faced in using federal energy efficiency programs to accomplish economic recovery goals. At MIT, he co-authored a research paper that investigates whether community-level energy data presentation and analysis can be transformational to society’s use of energy in buildings.

At Peregrine, Joshua helps to bridge the gap between technical data analysis and clean energy policy development. He works closely with the Peregrine energy information database, updating utility data and analyzing consumption patterns. He also assists with design and analysis of energy efficiency policies and programs.

Prior to coming to Peregrine Energy Group, Joshua worked as a consultant for the US Department of Energy on the development and early implementation of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program.
