Smart Grid
Smart Grid makes possible the use of power from intermittent sources of renewable energy, such as wind or solar. But before these renewable projects can be connected to the grid, a number of strategic and technical challenges must be identified and overcome. Similarly, by providing access to real-time information, the Smart Grid enables the creation of new energy efficiency and demand response programs that result in greater savings. Peregrine Energy Group has experience in both of these areas.
We have expertise in Intelligent Meters (AMI), Demand Response, distribution reliability, electric vehicles, distributed generation and communications networks. We provide guidance to Smart Grid projects in the following areas:
- Strategy – set realistic Smart Grid goals and fine-tune effectives strategies for attaining those goals through energy efficiency and renewable generation projects.
- Measurement, Verification and Evaluation – analyze and quantify the impacts, costs and benefits of Smart Grid projects.
- Technology Evaluation and Implementation – help understand corporate software requirements, and select appropriate information systems to store and manage Smart Grid data.
- Project Management – active and professional project management to coordinate the efforts, participation and activities of multiple stakeholders.
- Marketing – assist in the recruitment and qualification of project participants using traditional and web-based marketing methods.
