Peregrine to Report Utility Usage for Every City and Town in Massachusetts
August, 2009. Peregrine has been selected by the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources to collect and report on utility data for all 351 cities and towns in Massachusetts to consistently measure results of conservation programs, track system efficiency and benchmark buildings.
Peregrine will use their EnergyInsight Service to provide a web-based, user-friendly browsable energy information reporting system. The system will increase the availability of energy use and cost information and facilitate efficient analysis of performance for better management of energy usage, decreased energy expenditures, identification of interesting trends over time, decreased carbon emissions, and comparison of energy usage for buildings, vehicles and streetlights.
Major Restaurant Chain selects Peregrine to Design and Implement an Energy and Water Management Strategy
July, 2009. Peregrine has been selected as the virtual energy manager for a national chain of over 100 restaurants and a central manufacturing facility that spends over $5 million annually on energy and water expenditures. Peregrine will help reduce energy use without compromising product quality or customer service. Peregrine will evaluate and implement programs such as replacing equipment and systems with more efficient alternatives, staff training, ongoing measurement and benchmarking, design standards for new construction, competitive energy procurement and promoting sustainable practices.
Merrimack Valley Planning Commission Selects Peregrine Energy Group To Act As Regional Energy Coordinator
March, 2009. The Merrimack Valley Planning Commission has selected Peregrine Energy Group to act as Regional Energy Coordinator. Peregrine will work with the cities of Amesbury, Haverhill, Lawrence, Methuen and North Andover to coordinate and carry out the analysis and benchmarking of current energy use, identify opportunities for savings and improvements, and assist the municipalities with developing Action Plans for implementation.

The Massachusetts Hydrogen Coalition is a membership based non-profit corporation focused on expanding hydrogen, fuel cell and related industries in Massachusetts.
Peregrine Presents National Database of Clean Energy Projects
January 11, 2009. Peregrine CEO Paul Gromer and CTO Sam Levine presented findings from the Clean Energy States Alliance (CESA) national database to the CESA members in Washington, DC. The database, which was developed by Peregrine under contract to CESA, contains data concerning nearly 60,000 clean energy projects in 15 states. Gromer and Levine presented their analysis regarding both the cumulative impact of the states’ efforts and the variations among the state initiatives. CESA is a nonprofit organization comprised of members from 16 clean energy funds and two state agencies; it provides information and technical services to its members and works with them to build and expand clean energy markets in the United States.

Peregrine CEO Paul Gromer chaired a panel featuring 3 top state energy officials at the 8th annual joint energy conference of the Association of Energy Service Professionals and the Northeast Energy Efficiency Council. The panel, which focused on state energy efficiency initiatives, featured Phil Giudice, MA Commissioner of Energy Resources, Andrew Dzykewicz, RI Commissioner of Energy Resource, and Paul DeCotis, NY Deputy Secretary for Energy.
Peregrine CEO Appointed to Massachusetts Energy Efficiency Advisory Council
October 6, 2008. The Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities has appointed Peregrine CEO Paul Gromer to the Massachusetts Energy Efficiency Advisory Council. Created by the 2008 Green Communities Act, the Council is charged with overseeing a dramatic expansion of energy saving programs in the Commonwealth. Other Council members include representatives of businesses, environmental organizations, and utilities.
Peregrine CEO Appointed to Connecticut Solar Strategy Working Group
July 2008. The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund has appointed Peregrine CEO Paul Gromer to the Connecticut Solar Strategy Working Group. The 12-member group has been charged by the Connecticut legislature with developing a long-term sustainable solar strategy for the state. Its members include representatives from the state's electric distribution companies, environmental nonprofit organizations, the solar industry, a solar trade association, a community college that offers solar training, renewable finance, the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund, the Department of Environmental Protection, and the Department of Economic and Community Development.
